Welcome to Burney, located in Eastern Shasta County in beautiful Northern California. Burney is nestled between the majestic peaks of Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen.

 

Spend your time exploring nature, enjoying the great outdoors and the many activities you can find here. The beautiful waterfalls at McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park are nearby.

 

Year-round activities in the area include fishing - some of the best fly fishing in California is here. Fish along Hat Creek, Pit River, Baum Lake, and Lake Britton. Hunting, all types of boating, kayaking, ATV / off-roading, picnicking, camping, and hiking - we have plenty of wilderness areas and the Pacific Crest Trail is close by. Love to golf? Then you will certainly enjoy Fall River Valley Golf and Country Club.

 

In April, Redding hosts the Kool April Nites Classic Car Show. Memorial Day Weekend stroll down memory lane while enjoying the Classic Car show in Burney. In June, attend Airport Day in nearby Fall River Mills. Celebrate the 4th of July holiday with us during Burney Basin Days. In September, don't miss out on the Intermountain Fair at the McArthur Fairgrounds. In October head over to Burney Falls State Park and join us for Heritage Day. Look forward to winter sports? Then Mt. Shasta Ski Park is the place to go. Also, there is great sledding at Eskimo Hill near Mt. Lassen. Are you a thrill seeker? Try hang gliding off the Hat Creek Rim. If you enjoy gambling, the Pit River Casino is just a few minutes away with slot machines, and gaming tables.
